Cosmetic dentistry – Advances in cosmetic dentistry have changed the way we provide treatment – now it’s possible for us to make your smile even more beautiful while improving your oral health. Porcelain crowns and veneers, or thin porcelain facings, can close spaces between teeth, straighten misalignments and even widen or lengthen your smile.
Whitening – Whitening your teeth is a simple way to enhance your smile, and we have several options available. For home use, you can choose from convenient whitening strips or custom whitening trays that are worn daily for several weeks or until you reach your desired shade. In our office, we offer an accelerated whitening treatment called Opalescence Boost that provides fast yet lasting results in just one visit. For details, see opalescence.com/opalboost
Tooth-colored fillings – Tooth-colored fillings, made of composite resin, provide restored shape and function by filling in missing tooth structure caused by decay or chipping. The composite material is very durable and aesthetically pleasing because a custom shade can be selected to blend in with the existing tooth structure.
Crowns and bridges – When limited tooth structure remains and a filling or other restoration isn’t possible, a crown may be recommended to encase the entire tooth. We offer a variety of crowns, including all porcelain, porcelain fused to metal and gold, and can make a selection based on your specific needs. Bridges are used to span areas of missing teeth to restore chewing function.
Dental implants – Dental implants are optimal for replacing the form and function of missing teeth: they help stabilize the surrounding jawbone and offer a fixed solution that closely mimics the shape and aesthetics of a natural tooth. After a titanium post is implanted by a specialist, we customize and place the crown upon it.
Occlusal guards – When patients clench or grind their teeth, it’s called bruxism. The excess force can damage the teeth, jaw joint and surrounding muscles, causing TMJ disorders, headaches and other issues. An occlusal guard is a custom mouthpiece that fits over the chewing surfaces to provide protection and dispersion of the excess forces. For headache relief, we may recommend an NTI appliance that has been FDA approved for migraine prevention.
Periodontal care – Healthy gums and periodontal bone provide a stable foundation for your teeth, and the health of your mouth is directly related to the health of your body. Our hygienists will work with you to treat and maintain your oral health, ensuring your smile is the best it can be. Also, to minimize your exposure, we use digital x-rays to help diagnose gum disease, decay and infections.
