Registered Dental Assistant: A dental assistant assists the dental operator or other treating dental auxiliary and provides more efficient treatment by preparing the patient; sterilizing instruments; passing instruments during the procedure; holding a suction device; taking dental radiographs; taking impressions; and making temporary crowns. By effectively serving as a pair of extra hands, the dental assistant allows the dental operator to focus more time on the procedure.

Registered Dental Hygienist: A registered dental hygienist (RDH) is a licensed dental professional who specializes in preventive oral health, typically focusing on techniques in oral hygiene. Dental hygienists provide three types of services to their patients: preventive services to promote and maintain good oral health; educational services to help patients develop behaviors that promote better oral health; and therapeutic services, which are treatments meant to stop disease and maintain healthy tissues in the mouth. Common procedures performed by hygienists include cleanings (known as prophylaxis); scaling and root planing for patients with periodontal disease; taking prescribed x-rays; applying dental sealants; administering local anesthesia and fluoride; and providing instructions for proper oral hygiene and care.

Front Desk/ Insurance Specialist: This role involves communicating with insurance companies, including filing and billing procedures for dental treatment. The insurance specialist is responsible for sending claims and following up with all insurance companies for the benefit of our patients.
