WDC is owned by Dr. Emily Shackelton. Dr. Shackelton has been in dentistry since 1989. After graduating from Eastern Washington University, she began her career in the dental field as a registered dental hygienist. She returned to dental school, attending Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to gain the skills needed to treat patients in all aspects of dental health and care.

We Are Seeking A Registered Dental Hygienist!
We are a neighborhood private practice with a charismatic, longstanding group of professional women. Our team consists of an AWESOME Doctor, two assistants, two administrators, one full time hygienist and we are seeking to add one more hygienist to our team! We offer competitive compensation with full benefits including 401 (k) with 100% matching.
We take pride in being a fun, energetic, detail oriented group with good communication skills. We participate in monthly team lunches to discuss new ideas/ updates to the dental profession and what is working. We occasionally get together outside the office as well.
We foster personal relationships with our patients and their families. We need a team member who is professional, punctual and passionate about educating patients with encouragement. We have structured and streamlined systems in place to navigate our office for success and daily satisfaction (as every office is a little different). Normal hygiene duties include: Performance of scaling, cleaning, polishing, administration of local anesthetic, application of fluoride, sealant placement, digital x-rays, intra-oral photography, dental charting and periodontal charting, scheduling recall appointments, oral cancer screening exams and dental and medical history review.
